In addition to highlighting the many different kinds of minds that exist—including autism, schizophrenia, and savantism—he will discuss the implications for anyone who wants to cultivate multiple mindsets. In a culture obsessed with measuring talent and ability, we often overlook the important roles of hope, passion, and inspiration. Inspiration opens the person up to possibilities, passion motivates a person to engage in a goal, and hope allows the person to achieve through a variety of different routes. Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman will discuss the key differences between each of these three motivators of success, and will review the latest scientific findings on how to activate, capture, and manipulate these important psychological resources. Dr. Kaufman will also give practical tips on how to cultivate these three important resources in the classroom and boardroom.
